Many children and adults suffer from stress and anxiety at times. An over busy brain makes it difficult to concentrate on tasks and the feelings associated with anxiety can cause distress and further anxiety. Recent research suggests that activities which focus the mind without being overly taxing can help break the cycle of worry and anxiety and can help calm the busy mind. One such activity is coloring. This resource provides 40 original hand drawn kaleidoscopic images. The repetitive nature of the patterns is intentional, encouraging the individual to settle into a calming routine. This resource might help an individual regain focus. Over 30 original drawings are provided ready for coloring. The drawings vary in complexity. Some are simple outline drawings, whilst others have looser shapes and lines which will require greater creative input. This resource can also be used as an extension activity or simply for fun. Suitable for SEN students, but equally suitable for main stream students and adults.

Suitable for all ages, including adults. This resource provides over 30 black and white abstract images. They have been designed to allow color to be added in a variety of ways. Some students might like to develop “realistic” pictures of actual objects or scenes by thinking carefully about which sections to apply color to.
